My favorite way to save money on my wardrobe

If you live in and around LA, I’m about to let you in on an open secret… you live in the world of sample sales.

Once you go sample, you’ll never go retail.

The savings are either significant or massive. I’m talking $15 or $20 for things you’ll find in retail stores going for $50 or $80 bucks… in the same season! Some discounts are even more dramatic.

Sure, you’ll give up some luxuries – the sites can be cramped, you might have to do some digging, and the dressing rooms are not for the shy (it’s often a big open room where everyone changes).

The biggest inconvenience is sleep loss – I try to get there as early as I can to beat the crowds and find as many things in my size as possible. And then I take a nap 🙂

These “sacrifices” are more than worth it.

Don’t be stopped by the myths that the clothes are only for people who are size 0 or that all the clothes are defective. I got an amazing deal on a “defective” bathing suit because the tag said
It’s easy to spend a ton of dough so be sure to go in with your budget in mind and buy only what you really love, feel comfortable in, and will actually wear.

If you’re ready to give one a try, my favorite sale is coming up. This ones for ladies only… sorry guys. Greylin’s summer sale is August 11-13th from 8-5P except on Sat when it’s 9-2P. The address is 2812 S Grand Ave. LA 90007. Prices start at $10 and they will waive the sales tax if you buy in cash (don’t forget to save that receipt!)

All my best in your shopping endeavors.
