Here is the final piece in my 3 part series about how you can actually buy whatever you want, whenever you want, and without worrying about the cost.<\/p>\n

In the first part I shared about keeping the ego in check and remembering what’s important (which is all just a fancy way of saying: WANT what’s in your budget!). The second part was about assigning a potential purchase your own value (not just relying on the price tag to determine its value). Together, these two practices make it possible to buy whatever<\/em> you want.<\/p>\n

But not only do we want to buy whatever<\/em> we want, we also want to buy it whenever<\/em> we feel like it and without worrying<\/em> about the cost. So that’s what today’s post is all about.<\/p>\n

I have learned to want<\/em> things, when<\/em> I’ve saved for them or when I planned for getting them. Do I want a Tesla? Yes. Do I want it now? Nope. I want the sexy, all electric whip in 2017. So in 2017 I’ll get a Tesla whenever I want! See how this works?!<\/p>\n

In general I’ve trained myself not to be in “want mode” all the time. That probably goes back to keeping my ego in check.\u00a0 If I feel I’ve gone on a spending frenzy I cut myself off cold turkey for a “spending reset” and then slowly re-introduce it. (Kinda like what I do with sugar — it’s amazing how a week of no sugar will completely eliminate my sweet tooth! That is until I start overindulging again \ud83d\ude09 Of course, if I want something regularly, I work it into my budget.<\/p>\n

Finally, even though I’m not worried<\/i> about the cost, I’m certainly concerned<\/em> with it. That’s a really important distinction: I don’t worry<\/i> about my money but I’m definitely concerned<\/i> with it. It’s a totally different experience — one feels fearful, the other feels loving.<\/p>\n
