You can not give it away, assign it, pass it on, or hire it out to anyone else &#8211; not to any individual, company or institution.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; My mom (founder and president of FFF)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>These would probably not be welcomed words by Shannen Doherty right now (remember Brenda from Beverly Hills 90210?!) She is suing her business manager for delaying the diagnosis and treatment of her breast cancer by ignoring the invoice for her medical insurance premium in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Shannen&#8217;s medical insurance was cancelled and she couldn&#8217;t see a doctor until 2015. In March 2015 she was diagnosed with &#8220;invasive breast cancer metastatic to at least one lymph node.&#8221; She feels that she could have avoided a mastectomy and chemotherapy if the cancer had been found sooner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>While my mom can relate to the fear of a cancer diagnosis and the awful experience of chemotherapy, she does not subscribe to blaming others for our <span class=\"il\">financial<\/span> troubles &#8211; even if we&#8217;re paying someone else to help us with them. Because ultimately our finances, and their consequences (including life threatening health consequences), are our responsibility since we are most affected by those consequences. People and institutions are imperfect. They are humans and will make mistakes. We must be informed and involved partners to any &#8220;expert&#8221; we entrust to handle our money.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0We wish Shannen all the best on the physical, emotional and spiritual journey that is the road to recovery from cancer.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Your financial well being is your responsibility; not somebody else&#8217;s.
