Happy belated Valentine’s Day! (Yeah, that’s kinda ridiculous but I said it 😉
I just want to keep your thoughts on love for a little while longer. But not the love you have for people. I’m talking about your love of money!
Did that make you cringe? Light you up? Make you sick to your stomach?
We’re given such mixed messages.
You spend a lot of time and energy working for money and love the things it buys you.
Maybe Mark Twain was right when he said “the lack of money is the root of all evil.”
But then we’ve heard the opposite:
“The want of money is the root of all evil.” – Samuel Butler
“The love of money is the root of all evil.” – Unknown author
After all “you cannot serve both God and Money” Matthew 6:24
Is that what the Apostle Paul meant when he wrote that “All wrongdoing can be traced to an excessive attachment to material wealth.”
But then again, “don’t forget to have the biggest house, nicest care, finest clothes, and latest & greatest technology” — message of mass marketing and society.
Are you exhausted yet?
This confusion is absolutely detrimental to your financial fitness. More detrimental than your income. No freakin’ joke.
Enjoying peace with money requires your clarity on this issue.
Can you be a good person and be successful in this society? Or do you have to choose one – be a person of integrity OR wealth?
Come explore your relationship with money, how you got it, and how you can change it.
The workshop is THIS Saturday in Pasadena.
