Bye by bikinis, but hello fitness

Oh summer, how I miss you already.

There’s something about summertime that makes us put a little more effort into getting our fitness on. It’s amazing what the fear of bathing suits and the beach has on a person’s psyche! Suddenly the gym isn’t all that inconvenient. But after long sunny days turn into earlier nights we let ourselves off the fitness hook.

I get it. I haven’t been to yoga all week. But my other fitness regimen has not stopped. In fact, it’s gone into overdrive. Yep, I’m talking about my financial fitness.

The season of financial fitness for most people starts on December 31st, as people contemplate their new years resolutions. (I say ‘people,’ because this definitely isn’t you I’m talking about 😉 They promise they’ll be better with money next year. PROMISE.

But starting to think about improving your financial situation when you’re a blink away from January puts you behind before you’ve even had the chance to start. And as we’ve all experienced, unprepared + overwhelmed = fail. Let’s not do that again.

So let’s use the Fall season to gear up. To get ready mentally for the journey we’re about to take. To clear our physical space so we start fresh. To become spiritually open to new ways. To get in touch with where we are and where we want to go.

Specific tips to come weekly.

You’re welcome 🙂

Because I can’t wait for you to tell me how good it feels to be financially fit.

Your friend in fitness and beyond,

P.S. Here’s the highlight of my summer.

Building a school with my mom and friends in Guatemela. We mixed cement by hand. It was really SO. MUCH. FUN.
